Mica had many bones that night, but he'll never forget that first one.

  He then dreamed about his loving owner nudging him awake, but when he turned to her, she was replaced with Max.

  Mica groaned. "I was having a good dream! What do you want?"

  "I heard you mumble in your sleep. You must miss her don't you?"

  "Uhh, yeah?" Mica said.

  Max sighed. "I'm sorry....."

  "I'll find her though." Mica said confidently.

  Max nodded. "So, is it true? Did she assassinate them?"

  "Yes and no. She had more than one party helping her out. Valerian volunteered to help too."

  "She did?"

  "Yeah."

  Max groaned. "I can't believe she's been with us."

  "I can't believe you've been with HER!"

  Max nodded.

  Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, Mica got a flash of something move fast in the moonless sky. Then Mica and Max got alerted to the sound of a loud cry coming from the trees. The cry sounded panicked and in pain, like it was getting murdered by something devious.

  Mica looked up at Max. They both ran to the source of the noise.
