“It seems like you are looking for me. What is it you need from me that requires you to harm the is?” Although Chamber spoke calmly, pressure erupted from him which caused the werewolves to start straining just fr to maintain bance.
The only one who remaianding still was their alpha, Walce, who kept staring directly at Chamber’s eyes without any fear.
“We’ve heard of what you did to Lazarus and his son. We came looking for you in hopes of an alliao take down the vampires.” Instead of Walce, it was Lupus who answered.
“Alliance against vampires? What made you think I’ll agree?” Chamber crossed his arms, amused by their attempt to ally with him.
“Because you killed Lazarus and the eepes fa will be hunting for your blood! We may be small in popution but we’re ily strohan the vampires. Their only advantage is their numbers!” One of the twins, Remus was the one who spoke this time, stating pusible reasons.
“Unfortunately, you guys are a step too te. The Tepes Fa has already arrived earlier and I’ve already dealt with them.”
“You killed them?!” Surprisingly, it was the alpha who spoke, his tone mixed with surprise aement.
“No,” Chamber replied, p cold water on the werewolf’s head.
“Instead, I made a deal with them. As long as they stop feeding on humans, I won’t disturb them or whatever their business is.” As soon as Chamber finished his words, it didn’t take long for the werewolves to pin.
“You’re wrong! Vampires will oop to such ditions. Sooner or ter, they’ll break this deal and it would be too te for you to act against them!”
“If I were you, I would’ve killed them on the spot. Vampires ot be trusted.” Walce chimed in, expressing his personal opinion against the vampires.
“I know that.” However, Chamber’s answer made them drop their jaws.
“Then why’d you-”
“Because as I am now, it would be impossible to fully eradicate the entire vampire race. There are thousands of them and not every vampire belongs to the Tepes fa.” Chamber slowly floated down to the ground, causing the werewolves to slightly back away.
“Even if I dedicate myself to killing all the vampires, it would be impossible for me to do it.” Chamber finished and soon noticed Lupus’s eyes shining iement.
“Then if you allied with us y-”
“Just because vampires are my enemies doesn’t mean I’m automatically an ally of yours. My help isn’t for free and even if your enemy is my enemy, I don’t need any help.”
“I have everything pnned out,” Chamber smirked, which for some reason, caused a rea from Lupus.
“Are you looking down on us, werewolves huh, human?!” Lupus growled, his brown hair started growing from his face, slowly c his facial features.
The twins, taking this as a sign that a battle would ensue, slowly started taking their werewolf forms.
Meanwhile, Chamber calmly lifted his hand and the surroundings started to fold and turn like mere papers, catg the werewolves by surprise.
Fortunately for them, their rea and reflex are inhumane which allowed them to hold onto a structure that saved their lives.
“W-What’s going on!?” Lupus panicked, he could see the surroundings suddenly taking a different appearance, into weird shapes and dizzying images.
“Make sure to hold tight! You’re in for a ride!” Grinning, Chamber kept maniputing the surroundings all while watg over his reserves to make sure to stop when he’s about to run out.
After all, he hasn't fully recovered his demoniergy from his fight with the vampires yet.
So what he’s trying to do now isn’t to fully it to the fight, but to intimidate them and pretend their life is at his mercy.
That way, their retreat would be guaranteed.
“Do you yield?” Chamber asked them, staying afloat all while the chaos surrounding him stayed still as if waiting for the and of their master.
Wal his werewolf fritted his teeth, his sharp cws cutting through the weirdly shaped circle he was holding onto as if it was butter.
Only then did Walce that having sharp cws also had its disadvantages.
“Walce, what do we do? Let’s just surrehis isn’t worth it.” Lupus’s voice shivered, also barely hanging on, asked the alpha.
The circle they’re hanging on looks like a ring with aended body and it’s floating in mid-air like a der, so even if they pull themselves, they would still fall to their deaths.
Why?
Because looking down, even with his sharp eyes, he’s uo see the end of their fall. As if there is no ground at all!
He, Lupus the Great, who has sin vampires more than his own age, is actually scared of heights! This is a secret he’s been keeping even from the alpha, Walce.
“…Let me think about it.” Instead of ht surrendering, Walce muttered, his pride making him unwilling to surrender.
How could he, an alpha werewolf that struck fear to vampires, be bested by a mere human?
No, his pride tells him he won’t go down this way.
However while his pride is taking trol of his thoughts, his heart says otherwise.
He see his paruggling to hold on, their cws almost slipping away.
If they slipped and die because of him, he would never be able tive himself!
“Any minute now.” As if to mock them, Chamber floated in front of them and preteo look at his wristwatch.
‘Oh wait, watches do here yet. I probably looked dumb.’ Resisting his blush from creeping up to his cheeks, Chamber dispelled his embarrassment by clearing his throat.
“Ehem! If my eyes are tellihe truth, I see that you guys barely hold on. Surrender and admit defeat and I’ll let you all go off at once. I know you’re different from vampires and don’t feed on humans like it’s necessary, so I’m willing to let you guys go.” Chamber suggested, which Lupus excitedly looked at Walce as if urging him to accept Chamber’s mercy.
Walce begrudgingly accepted by relutly nodding his head.
This however was ignored by Lupus who sighed in relief.
Chamber smirked and finally waved his hands, resuming the surroundings to their previous appearance.
Sihey’re teically in the middle of the vilge, instead of directly breaking the Mirror Dimension, he opened a portal instead, a few kilometers away from the vilge.
“You may now leave, gentlemen.” Smiling, Chamber gestured for the portal.
Wald the ulped their salivas and started walking.
Before crossing the portal, Chamber tinued.
“Oh and even though I said earlier that you guys don’t need humans to feed on si isn’t necessary, if I learhat you guys touched ohout any valid reason, trust me, I’m not someone you’d like to make an enemy with.” With a cold smile, Chamber waved his hand and willed the portal to move and swallow them whole.
As for Chamber, he broke the Mirror Dimension and ran back to the farmhouse.
‘Werewolves are way more easy to deal with pared to Vampires. The tter fly but the former ot, what a gring weakness.’ While walking, Chamber muttered under his breath, smirking in the process.
Sure, werewolves are strohan vampires, strength-wise, but when it es to venience, vampires take the cake. Those blood-sug creatures have many abilities up their sleeves.
All in all, this day is great for him. Not only he earned experience from fighting two supernatural races, but he mao instill fear to the two, to make sure they wouldn’t harm humans.
It’s just temporary though. At least until he’s strong enough, so it’s already helpful that there are now fewer problems on his pte.
***
A few kilometers away from the vilge, the werewolves were left standing still, their eyes staring down on the ground as their minds were registering what just transpired.
They were utterly defeated. By a human heless.
It was so humiliating that even Lupus, who was scared for his life earlier, started tret n to fight the human wizard and instead, he just tucked his tail and hope for the human to show mercy.
Werewolves are prideful creatures and this event just struck a blow on it.
“W-Well, think of the bright side, at least we survived, right?” Lupus tried to cheer his panions.
But to no avail, he simply doesn’t have kna being an alpha. As alphas are supposed to be charming and could sway his felloolves with words.
“Lupus is right. Let’s sider ourselves lucky that the wizard is a kind one. I’ve heard of some dark wizards who uses our kind as part of their experiments and rituals. With that man’s strength, if he wao harm us, it would be too te and we’ll find ourselves strapped to a table.” Taking Lupus’s words as a cue, Walce lifted the spirits of his panions.
“So, what’s our pn now?” Lucius, who has been quiet all this time, asked.
“Sihe wizard isn’t someone we afford to offend, we’ll look for other ways that would help us kill those vampires. To avenge our aral werewolf.” Walce gripped his fists until it bled due to his sharp nails.
“The alpha’s right. e on, we ’t let one failure put us all down.”
***
While the werewolves were busy with a new pn on their minds, Chamber got back to the farm house and has been studying in his room since.
“I feel like I’m close.” Sitting on a meditative position, Chamber with his closed were trying to plete his magic circle.
The process is intricate and it took him so many months just to get to this level.
With the uping ending of the Great War ing in just a month, the pressure might have taken its toll on him but it also served as a fuel that busted his Will to grow strong.
As long as his magic circle is pleted, he would no longer have to worry about the ption of his Demoniergy.
With his rare capability of having not only rapid regeion of energy but he could also recover even during battle or using it.
Normally, when using Demoniergy, it would stop rec and only when the pool has calmed down will it resume rec.
Take a calm o for example, if you drop a boulder, it would ripple across the surface of the o like waves.
Now picture the o as your Demoniergy and if used, would cause ripples and the said ripples would halt the recovery until the ripple stops.
That’s how it is supposed to work.
But for some reason or maybe because he’s just unique, he bypass this restri and tinue rec while using Demoniergy.
A few hours have passed and Chamber finally opened his eyes, excitement evident on his face expression that is smiling widely.
“I did it. I did it! I finally fug did it!”
