Ch. 48 – The pack of Werewolves!

Ohe tract was settled with the blood of Chamber and Aric, the vampires, albeit a bit hesitant, started to leave through the portal Chamber created.

However, there is always that oubborn individual among them.

“I don’t accept this! How a mere servant initiate a tract, instead of me, the Tepes fa’s leader!” Damien, who has been staying quiet until now, finally stepped out and accused Aric.

“Lord Damien, please don’t make a fuss now. We’ll talk about this ter.” Aric sternly replied, giving Damien a shre which was enough to shock the young vampire.

Not only did Aric disregard that he was supposed to be called Lord Dracu, but his mere servant even had the audacity to shut him up.

‘Looks like this is the first time he was actually scolded by someone he siders below him.’ On the sidelines, Chamber watched this spectacle with amused eyes.

“Y-You!” Damien pointed his shaky fiowards Aric but was uo form any words to use against him.

Ariowing the importance of what he’s doing, ’t afford any mishaps, hence his disrespect towards Damien.

‘Doesn’t matter if he bees mad. I’m doing this for the ey of our vampire face.’ Aric whispered under his breath with a grim expression.

“We’ll talk about this ter, Lord Damien.” With one final gre toward Damien, Aric shifted his focus back to Chamber and gave him a grateful nod.

“We’ll be on our way now, Sorcerer Supreme,” Aric said, aowledging an assumption that Chamber is a master of magic after Chamber introduced himself as Sorcerer Supreme earlier.

Instead of answering, Chamber simply watched Aric grab Damien who was about to throw a tantrum, ahrough the portal that leads to a few miles away from the vilge.

There’s a reason why he insisted on this kind of approach by establishing a tract with the Tepes fa even if he has the advantages.

First of all, his reserves are already half, and not to mention that there are still hundreds of vampires, he miscalcuted Aric’s strength, assuming that the vampire was just a simple High-css vampire whom he could wipe the ground.

Lastly, he prefers this way as he has a big pn to deal with the vampires iure.

No doubt that the tri the tract about the punishment being only applicable to Aric would be discovered iure, and even if he doesn’t, there’s still a way to break the tract such as Aric’s death.

As Aric is the one who pledged on the tract, obviously the tract’s punishment will only be applied to him.

If he dies due to unknown causes or natural ways, the tract would bee null.

If Chamber’s predi is right, then it might take decades for the former and tter to happen and by that time, his pns have already bee in motion.

And that pn is about Chamber growing his reputation in the Supernatural side of the world, simir to the A One.

The reason why the mortal world in the Marvel Universe has mostly been untouched by the supernatural beings is because of the name of A Ohat struck fear to the beings who wished to harm the Earth or the entire human race.

Sure the defense of the Earth against otherworldly beings are the three Sanctum Sans but the real defense is actually herself.

That is what Chamber would strive to achieve, make his name known and feared across the entire universe.

As for the vampires, even if they do decide to make a move against him iure, it would be too te for them as the Masters of the Mystic Arts would’ve gre enough to fully protect mankind even without him.

Ohe vampires are gone, Chamber stays for a while and analyzes the etle within his mind.

Without a doubt, his first mistake was using the o Shift for the first time in a real battle instead of practig it first. That’s why when he realized that he actually used a hundred pert of its capabilities, it was already too te, and more than half of his reserves were sapped.

His st mistake is what he just said earlier, he miscalcuted the strength of Aric, the oldest vampire among them.

If he had known that Aric was strong, he could’ve targeted him first before the rest using the o Shift in one hundred pert.

‘I could’ve hahat fight better.’ Chamber muttered to himself before making a resolution to not uimate his oppos iure.

‘I always thought that those who hide their strengths are the ones I should sider as strong but it turns out, there are strong people out there who just don’t bother hiding themselves.’

With that clusion, Chamber left the Mirror Dimension and was brought back to the real vilge.

Appearing in the middle of the busy vilge, the people stopped for a moment before resuming their daily duties.

Thanks to his reputation as their protector and the fact that whenever old man Rad gets drunk and spreads the word about him and his magical tales, the vilgers grow aced to him.

If Chamber wanted, he could assume the role of the vilge Chief and no one, not even the current vilge chief would pin. They might even happily give him the position.

Fortunately, Chamber does not desire such titles. Positions like those tend to bee the ter of the vilge’s problems.

“Master! Are you okay? You were gone for almost an hour and we were prepared to evacuate the entire vilge!” Belle and Tam quickly rushed after him just as he got back, expressing their towards him as their master and savior.

“I’m fine, my students. It would take more than just a feires to cause me trouble.” Chamber chuckled and patted their heads.

This was actually his st resort, just in case he entered trouble with the vampires and fails to e back within an hour.

With Belle and Tam finally learning how to jure their own portals, Chamber instructed them to start evacuating the vilgers with the said portals if he doesn’t e back after an hour.

“Let’s head baside and celebrate that the vilge survived the wrath of aire vampire .” Just as Chamber was about to walk ih the two siblings, his le senses suddenly picked up a few individuals with siderate strength ranging from Low to Mid-css strength, with only one of them being in High-css.

‘God dammit, now what!’ Cursing under his breath, he ushered the two to go inside first and proceeded to portal himself to the location of the said individuals.

  ***

“Are you sure this is the pce, Remus, Lu?” The alpha of their pack, Walce, asked the tolves while at the distant vilge.

The twins heir heads simultaneously, pletely in sync.

“Good job, now all that’s left is to meet this human who killed Lazarus and see if we form alliah them.” Walce muttered to himself and stepped forward to approach the vilge, following him were the remaining of their pack.

Or at least the st few fighters among their pack.

A few mier, Wald his pack arrived in front of the vilge gates, however due to their naked appearahey draw quite a few looks towards themselves.

“Should we cover ourselves first if we want to blend in with the humans?” A brown haired man from behind, silently whispered to Walce.

“Disguising is useless in this situation, Lupus. After all, we’re not here for this humans but the rumored human wizard.” Walce responded and took a step forward to ehe vilge when suddenly, a golden translut barrier appeared and repelled Walce, throwing him away.

If it weren’t for his panions catg him, he would’ve been thrown a good distance away from the barrier.

“W-What was that?!” Not only the werewolves, even the vilgers themselves were surprised by it.

The twins, ao see their alpha being harmed, quickly turo their werewolf forms, earning a few collective gasps and screams from the vilgers.

Before they could cause more harm, they were all swallowed by a rge cra space that disappeared soon after.

Chamber, who has been watg the entire event, nodded his head in satisfa after seeing the effectiveness of the vilge’s Defensive Barrier Rune.

However when he saw the werewolves’ reas, he immediately took a and casted another Mirror Dimension on them.

‘I haven’t fully recovered my reserves and here I am, potentially bringing myself to anht. Wait…Why do I o go after them during this state?’ Just as Chamber was about to go in and talk with the newers.

He suddenly stopped in his tracks as realization dawned on him.

‘Why do I o go visit them now? When I could just dey for two hours to fully recover myself.’

Sighing and calling himself a on-a-lifetime genius, he portalled back to the farm house and slumped on the couch, taking a deep breath as he closed his eyes a his reserves slowly but surely rec.

Thanks for unknown reasons, his demoniergy reserves recovery is tenfold faster than average, henly two hours are needed for him to recover physically, mentally, and spiritually.

juring a portal that leads to the Mirror Dimension, Chamber silently e to gauge the reas of the werewolves.

Upoering, the first thiiced was destru. The entire vilge are almost razed upon, with only fmes and rubbles bei.

On the ter of it all are five werewolves searg around frantically.

Sihe Mirror Dimensio exactly replicate the entire universe as that is far beyond his current capabilities, the Mirror Dimension has a distance limit and going to the said limit won’t teically bring you outside but just block yoing past the barrier.

It’s like those old Grand Theft Auto games where a certain area in the map is locked and almost impossible to trespass.

“It’s over! We’re trapped here forever!” Lupus, the weakest among them, panicked while holding his head, his eyes darting around in fear and fusion.

The twins oher hand, although they’re in a better dition pared to Lupus, fear is still evident on their faces.

Only their alpha, Walce, remained calm uhis situation.

tally, as soon as Chamber arrived ihrough the portal, Waliffed in the air, his g an unfamiliar st from afar.

“The wizard must be here. I smell him!” Hearing his words, the twins and Lupus all took a serious looks on their faces as caution and wariness appeared on their faces.

Whoever they’re fag against, are extremely strong.

“You five really took a number on my lovely vilge, didn’t you all?” Chamber took this opportunity to introduce himself.

Before the other werewolves could react to his entrahe Alpha replied first, replying to Chamber’s words.

“But this isn’t the real world, isn’t it?” Walce stared at Chamber’s eyes and said with full fidence.

“Oh? How did you figure it out?” Chamber, instead of being shocked, asked calmly.

“The words…” Walce said, pointing at the texts around them such as the still-standing taverhe name of the tavern in the pque still intact.

However if oared carefully, they would notice that the words are reversed or backward, a testament to the name of the spell, Mirror Dimension.
