Liam pyed around with the egg, wishing he could take it for himself. But unfortunately, his css didn’t allow it.
Although some ways existed to circumvent the restri, this was a matter for the future.
Right now, the Silent Acacia was the only oh the ability to rear pets amongst Liam’s friends.
I guess this will be a pleasant surprise for him…
[Nature +1]
My nature stat went up? It’s probably for disc so many materials. Not bad.
Nature was an auxiliary stat like Knowledge or Ara. They could be primarily increased by learning or certain things. Their main usage was to advane quests.
However, some extremely rare spells existed which required auxiliary stats to be learned.
Liam wasn’t particurly ied in his Nature stat as he put the egg away a Sentrav’s home.
He closed the door and turned around, leaving through the high grass. Rustling noises followed his every step.
Liam gnced over his shoulder, chug as he watched Dorn carefully following him from a distance.
The poor alligator felt a glimmer of hope to see her master again.
Liam let her be, wafting through the s. At first, he was able to advance quickly but towards the end the pesky mosquitos had already respawned, ready to make his life difficult.
Dorn also didn’t deign to help. She stayed far away, watg Liam with a glint in her eyes, almost gloatingly.
When Liam left the s, poison was still slowly chipping away at his HP. He g Dorn, murmuring under his breath:
“Wao find your master but not lending any help. Damn freeloader.”
The alligator seemingly didn’t uand, casually following behind Liam.
When they returo busier streets the people avoided Dorn cautiously, intimidated by her appearance. But no oarted any trouble as it wasn’t strange for warriors to travel with their pets or mounts.
Thus, Liam returo the temple distrihiogether with the alligator.
Alotrs was still tending to some pnts when he felt someone e closer. He looked up, his eyes quickly falling on Liam’s panion.
“Dorrav didn’t even take you with him? What was he thinking?”
“Raooh.”
“He said he will be back soon? Hasn’t he been missing for years now?”
“Roo!”
“A hunting trip, huh. Well, I hope we will know more soon.”
Liam stood at the side, watg the priest skeptically. He couldn’t firm if the human and monster were really versing with each other.
Luckily, Alotrs soon turo the pyer.
“Adventurer, since yht Dorn here, I take it that you succeeded?”
“Yes, priest. Here is Sentrav’s pot.”
“Hmmm… I feel the stroiment. I khat Sentrav always loved food but to su extent…”
Alotrs chuckled faintly as he took the pot from Liam.
“e. Let us hold the ritual.”
With those words the priest turned arouering the small chapel. His body barely fitted through the narrow entrahe few sacrifices and relics pced on the floor forced him to watch his every step.
Liam stayed outside, fearing that one wrong step would destroy some sacred bowl, drawing the church’s hatred. Dorn sneaked o him, watg Alotrs with curiosity and longing.
The priest came to a stop before the small statue representing Ternavoe. Knelling on the floor he took out a rge variety of fruits, many of them exotid rare, pg them around the pot.
, he pced both his palms on the left of his chest while l his head.
“Ternavoe. Goddess of fertility, benevolent mother.
Sacred is thy hou who gifts all of creation the means to live.
This servant, I, requests humbly your assistance. Please open your benevole ahe stroiments attached to this… vital tool… before me.
This servant humbly inquires the location of the person closely ected to it.
In thy boundless benevolence.”
As Alotrs’ pious voice faded out, a moment of silence fell on the chapel. But suddenly a warm light spread from the small statue.
It shone orav’s pot, the sacrificial fruits, and the priest.
Slowly the exotic food began to rise, levitating around the pot. Illusionary images overpped with them depig the mature states of the pnts.
T trees and lush bushes could be seen. A vast root work spread out, reag deep into the floor and growing out of the chapel.
But most of it trated o caressing it like someoempting to imagine an object with their eyes closed.
A few seds ter the illusion receded, gathering in a ball of light which suddenly shot towards Alotrs’ head, disappearing in his brain.
Alotrs shook, a blissful smile on his face as if hearing from his mother for the first time after a long absence.
The priest remained kneeling for a few more seds while the light dimmed before standing up and stepping outside.
“Priest, did you receive the information?”
“Yes. Praised be goddess Ternavoe. Here, let me show you.”
With those words Alotrs took out a map from somewhere. It showed the edge of a vast ti, which was the floating ti Deaviny, birthpce of the godspawn.
o it was a rge o, the main focus of the map. Hundreds of isnds were depicted withing the rge body of water. The further form the tihe smaller those isnds became, with many of them uninhabited.
Alotrs poi one of the small isnds. A bit of magic left his finger, painting a yellow dot on the map.
“Here, this is the israv is staying on. Si is unnamed let’s follow tradition and call it Sentrav’s Isnd.”
With this short expnation Alotrs hahe map over to Liam. At this moment his quest updated and even the game’s usually minimalistic map received rge additions, revealing the isnds which the inal nephilim sidered their home.
“Thank you, priest. I will bring the information to old Gabe.”
“Yes, do that. And warn him not to create trouble, alright?”
“I will remember it.”
Liam politely bade his goodbye, leaving the chapel with Dorn apanying him faithfully.
Aed light could be found in the alligator’s eyes. Obviously, she was delighted to know Sentrav’s location, even showing signs of running ahead of Liam.
Unfortunately, Dorn didn’t have money for the teleporter, thus she had to wait for the leisurely nephilim.
Liam g Dorn who rushed onto the ptform with him before paying and disappearing form Duabalis City.
When he arrived io the young man didn’t dey for even a moment, quickly leaving the town.
Yet his appearaill caused a otion.
“Look, with this monster?”
“Is it following that man?”
“Bleary Mirage, I saw you! Wait for me! I want…”
“Is that a boss? Elite? Should we kill it?”
Liam already expected the pyers to discuss Dorn. Thus, he ran at his fastest paot giving aime to react.
Surprisingly Dorn easily kept up as the duo soon reached Gabe’s hut.
The older man obviously didn’t have the patieo fish right now. He stared at the horizon, his expression stantly ging.
When he heard the crag of wood behind him Gabe rapidly turned around. He only gazed at Liam for a moment before notig Dorn behind him.
“Damn, ungrateful idiot! Sentrav! You eve Dorn behind?! &§!*%!
Curses immediately spewed out of Gabe’s mouth but his face softened. He passed Liam, stopping before Dorn aing her head kindly.
“Rooo!”
“Yes, I’m gd to see you too.”
Dorn and Gabe celebrated their reunion for a few seds before the nephilim turo Liam.
“Since you have found Dorn, I assume your quest was a success?”
“Yes. I have fourav’s current location.”
Liam nodded calmly as he handed over the map given by Alabe sed it, his forehead filled with deep wrinkles.
“Sentrav! Damn! What made you run off to such a godforsaken pce?! Did you think no one would remember you?!
Just you wait! When I find you…”
A grating noise could be heard from how strong Gabe gritted his teeth. After taking a deep breath he looked at Liam again:
“Advehank you for your help. I don’t have mue, but you have this old fishing rod of mine as a thank you.
Don’t look down on it. It is quite sturdy.”
“Thank you.”
