2.00: Face to Face - Synopsis
Susumu survived losing his face… his entire identity.
She is forced to form a whole new one in the wake of her gender changing. More than that, she finds herself inhabiting the body of her dead first love. Reiko bequeathed all that she was to Susumu through yōkai spiritual fusion.
That gave the term “Cinderel Deadline” a completely new and ironic meaning.
As Akuchi demonstrated, spiritual fusion, or rather the merging of memories, tends to cause disorientation. Now that Susumu has a new female body, how will Rui react? While Ume isn’t exclusively yuri, how will the change in Susumu affect her? Every time Susumu blushes, she gives off pheromones that only Ume seems to notice.
How will Natalia react to the changes in Susumu? And then there’s Akuchi. Unpredictable. Possessive. How will she behave when faced with such a drastic change in the one who unintentionally marked her as hers?
Time doesn’t freeze just because Susumu’s entire identity changed. It doesn’t stop because her gender changed. A new deadline looms as she learns that Spiritual Detectives are far more common than she assumed… and that they’re normally licensed and officially authorized for their work by Tokyo's police force and a certain mysterious council that operate in a completely different world.
They have only a week before the annual exams take pce on Seven-Five-Three. If Susumu isn’t ready, SSDS: Shinohara Spiritual Detective Services’ future is at risk.
While Susumu has merged with Reiko, she hasn’t gained any miraculous martial abilities. At least, not directly. She still has no idea how to use her jade bracelet. The cat’s paw she used to fight Mitsuhiko is gone forever. Her Noh-Face powers have disappeared as well.
How is she expected to function with spiritual power she can’t even use?
But did that monster inside her actually disappear?
And if it didn’t… how will that affect her life?
And what happened to Reiko when they fused?
If you’re looking for urban fantasy, yokai, horror, found-family, chaos, harem, sentai, absurdity, spstick, comedy, tragedy, romance, identity, horror, fanservice, gender bending and unhinged supernatural shenanigans — this story is for you.
But, let's be real and add some more tags! Book two is going to shift into a different gear. These things all still exist but there's more...
Shoujo, josei... non-explicit sex. I do my best not to cross the line into it being read as smut. If it happens, it will only happen for story-emotional reasons. That's how I write. =^.^=
This next book is completely new, as refined as I can make it. Will there be mistakes? Possibly, but I do my best! <3 As usual, no unrealistic expectations. Right now i 'm telling the story I want to, however it works out!
It probably still will not be perfect... after spending so much of my time editing and writing.
This whole second book is complete, meaning you get the whole thing, and I already have strong ideas of what happens in book three. =~.^= When I get started, it should flow reasonably well. If I ran into some kind of block, I might need a break to write the whole book, because honestly, releasing chapters each day as you go can result in creating plot holes and inconsistencies, but then it will take a long time to finish publishing book two! Keep in mind that someone like me with leaky memories due to my condition, it's much better to sweat hard in advance, which is why I wrote more than 280,000 words in advance for you to enjoy.
Expectations:You’ll smile. You’ll cry.The MC will be more feminized by the end of the first book and will read differently. The MC will hurt a lot... especially emotionally. The MC will continue to change and grow. There will be action and real fights in pces. There will be an insane amount of yuri. There will be an absurd amount of kissing and cuddling. There will be no smut, but there will be sex scenes. There's a difference! There will be plenty of ecchi fanservice.
This story might rival the finest anime legends like Your Lie in April and Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day. You may agree with me in the end or not. If you do, I want to know! <3 ShinjiHinako tells me that I'm too full of myself thinking I might be able to compete with those tragic greats. =^.^=
There's still no set schedule for releases, but I want to stick to one per day because who knows, maybe my health would take a bad turn over the next few years. It would be much better to get it out there so I can enjoy your feedback, while I can! <3
I will post up book 2's cover when we've reached a certain point in the book so that a twist isn't spoiled. =~.^=
My health has been improving a bit while writing, by the way. A certain medicine was weakening my heart so much that it felt like it might give up any moment, but that's not happening anymore. I stopped taking that completely unmanaged medication and feel better for it. Here's to many more years, meowing and writing! <3
Please take the time to review as of the end of book one. If you can't, a commentie down below would be ultra purry! You can absolutely share how you feel about what's coming in book two too!
