Chapter 35

Michael’s grip tightened around Robert’s throat, his crimson eyes glowing with a mix of fury and satisfaction. Robert struggled, his hands clawing at Michael’s arm as he was lifted off the ground. The golden light of his Aetheric band flickered faintly, but Robert refused to give up.

“Your kind has always been the same,” Michael snarled, his voice low and venomous. “Destroying everything in their path, leaving nothing but chaos and devastation in their wake.”

Robert’s vision blurred, but he forced himself to focus. He could feel the pressure of Michael’s grip, the heat of his anger, but he refused to let the words break him. “You… don’t… know me,” Robert choked out, his voice strained but defiant.

Michael’s smirk returned, his grip tightening further. “Oh, I know you. You’re just like the rest of them. A weapon. A destroyer. And deep down, you are not so different from me.”

Robert’s Aetheric band flickered again, the golden light growing brighter. He could feel the energy building inside him, a surge of power that refused to be contained. “You’re… wrong,” he gasped, his voice barely audible.

Michael leaned in closer, his voice a harsh whisper. “Then prove it.”

With a surge of energy, Robert unleashed a burst of electricity, the crackling current surging through Michael’s body. Michael roared in pain, his grip loosening as he staggered back.

Robert dropped to the ground, gasping for air, the Aetheric band began to shine brightly, a surge of power ran through Robert’s body, Robert lunged towards Michael, his movements impossibly fast, his fist crackling with ice as he slammed it into Michael’s chest.

The ice spread rapidly, encasing Michael’s torso in a layer of frost. Michael tried to move, but his body was frozen in place. His eyes widened in confusion and fear as Robert stepped back, his Aetheric band glowing brighter than ever.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

“What… what is this?” Michael stammered, his voice trembling. “How are you—?”

Robert didn’t answer. Two clones of Robert appeared beside him. The three charged at Michael, their movements perfectly synchronized. Michael swung his fist, shattering one of the clones into golden light, but the other two landed solid hits, their combined strength sending Michael flying into a parked car. The vehicle crumpled under the impact, its windows shattering and its alarm blaring.

Michael groaned, struggling to push himself up. But before he could move, Robert replicated another power—telekinesis. With a flick of his wrist, Robert lifted the crumpled car and hurled it at Michael. he tried to dodge, but he was too slow. The car slammed into him, pinning him against a tree.

Michael gasped for air, his eyes wide with fear. “What… what are you?” he whispered, his voice barely audible.

Robert still didn’t respond. This time, his fists were surrounded by swirling flames. He slammed his fiery fists into Michael, the force of the impact sending him crashing through the tree and into a lamppost. The metal bent under the force, and Michael slumped to the ground, his body smoking.

Robert didn’t stop. He raised his hand; he unleashed a torrent of wind. The swirling vortex lifted Michael off the ground, slamming him into a nearby building. The wall cracked under the impact, and Michael fell to the ground, his body battered and broken.

Michael looked up at Robert, his crimson eyes flickering faintly. “You… I will not lose to you,” he said, his voice trembling.

Robert stood over him. “I’m not like you,” he said, his voice firm. “And I never will be.”

Michael tried to stand, but his legs gave out. He collapsed to the ground, his body trembling. “This… this isn’t over,” he muttered, his voice weak.

Robert starred at him. He raised his hand; he prepared to end the fight. But before he could strike, Michael’s eyes glowed brighter, and a massive burst of heat vision erupted from them. Robert didn’t even flinch. The heat’s vision dissipated harmlessly around him.

Michael’s eyes widened in shock. “Impossible”

“Its over,” said Robert firmly. Michael, not accepting his defeat, used a smoke bomb, covering the area in mist. Robert cough as he stepped back. As the smoke cleared out, Michael was gone.
