  Currently, we're eating our lunch, the difference in food between kingdoms is already this visible to the point I wonder how different the food was on any other continent?

  The food I ordered is more like Asian cuisine. Or something like that, it’s the type of food Genghis Khan might have eaten every day, perhaps?

  The plate in front of me is filled with different vegetables that mix with meat, and then stir-fried, but the meat feels smoky, so it must be grilled beforehand

  While Kiara's food is... only a few of sandwiches, but there are tons of sweets, such as cake, cookies, etc...

  We're currently strolling around the market, and there are actually tons of things that I only know from books, a mushroom that is so long it curled like a snake, and tons of monster parts, from horn to skin

  Kiara keeps walking before she's stopped on meat store. I could see several cuts of meat hanging in the main window and swaying here and there in slow motion, before I realized Kiara went inside the store

  Before heading inside, I check my surroundings and sense it with my mana, to make sure nothing is wrong. After confirming that there's nothing, I entered the store, while Kiara already stood at the cashier and pay whatever she had just bought

  I just stood there waiting for her before opening the door for her, and followed shortly after

  When I catch up to her and walk side by side, she says, "Now we're going there, but do you need anything before that?"

  "Hmm, no? I can't think of anything for now."

  "Alright then."

  We're just walking straight to the other side of the city, and walking out of it

  So far as I could see, there's just a meadow and there wasn't a forest, hill, or even a mountain in sight

  Is this the village that Noah mentioned? It doesn't seem to be a village... It's more like a house in the middle of the woods

  As we're walking, as the letter and the map show us, Alias tugged softly on my dress, "Yes, Alias? What's wrong?"

  "When are we going to meet Kaleth?" Her face is looking sulky, with a small pout appearing on her cheeks

  Slowly, I pat her head, "I'm sorry, but I really don't know when exactly they will come here, it could be today, or tomorrow, and perhaps the next day after that."

  She's looking down at her feet, and said, "...But, you're not lying, right?"

  "I'm not, Kaleth will come if you keep behaving and wait patiently, okay?"

  Alias lifted her head and looked at me, "Promises?" And extended her hand and let out her pinky

  Slowly, I extend mine too and wrap my pinky around her, "Promise."

  After that, we reach the house that Noah left us here. Despite how long it got abandoned, there's only a little dust inside here, as if someone was deliberately waiting for us

  We’ve been running ever since we arrived in some forest that I don't bother to even remember, the only time we're actually stopped is either to take care of our needs, eating, or sleeping. Other than that, we're just running

  It's convenient that I could use magic and physical enhancement, without them, I might be long gone from this planet. Besides, because of magic, I could finally feel what it feels like for those magical ninjas who leap from branch to branch

  Again, it's actually really surprised me that Vaelthoria is really this empty..? There's really not much of a village or city on our way. Sure, we might not have gone that far, but it's actually nearly 12 hours, and I haven't seen anything yet other than natural scenery

  Still, how long will it actually be—

  Leap a few breaths away and held Kiara to the ground, and a loud explosion hit the places above us, which destroying several tree trunks and sending them crashing down

  Instantly, I cast different elemental shields and layered them a few inches from each other, but I could feel something incoming and created a stone wall surrounding us, 1x, 2x, 4x

  The shield was destroyed easily. Before the last one was broken, I made a hole in the last shield and leaped away while holding Kiara closely

  The last stone wall was destroyed, and dust was scattered into the air

  HAHH, HUFFF

  It's happening so fast that my breath turned ragged, one thing I sense from them was it's impossible to outrun them. Again, I leap away and hide behind a tree

  Slowly, I pull my hand away from Kiara

  "What just happened?" Then she tried to peek from the tree to see it, but I pulled her before she could peek at it

  "I don't know, but I really think it's best if we're just hiding first."

  "Stranges... I couldn't sense anything nearby." While she held her chin and looked down

  Then I feel it again — Pull her back into my arms and leap away so high from the forest — THUMP

  The explosion sounded shortly after I leaped from there. I couldn't take a risk, so it took me higher than I thought, it's bringing me higher than even the forest itself

  I could feel my right leg muscles cramping and straining themselves, it seems even my physical enhancement had reached its limit

  And then our momentum slows down, before we slowly fall

  But, I cast basic wind magic to slow down or fall and push us away. When we fell and reached the halfway point to the ground, we finally saw it

  A monster..? a humanoid looking creature that was pristine white, looked like a human titan, without a mouth, nose, or even eyes, and it ran toward us

  We're fucked up, I've never seen anything like this even in text book

  With the least option I currently had, I just spam my lightning lance, as much as I could, just to make it stay away from us for a moment

  When we finally reached the ground, I could sense how my right leg would give up anytime, then push Kiara into my back, "Run, Kiara!"

  After a few seconds, I looked back, but she was just sitting there and staring far away from my face, in an expression I hadn't seen in a human, that even in my wildest imagination, an expression I never imagined Kiara could make
