Vol.6 Ch.379 Elizabeth’s Dilemma

The Dule carriage was slowly going through the busy streets of Tarial to return to their estate near the center of the capital city.

And despite the beautiful and vibrant scenery that was passing by the carriage, Elizabeth could not take her eyes off her daughter in front of her. Amelia's body had transformed from a innocent proper noble young dy into a shameless woman that barely concealed her voluptuous breasts in a stolen enchanted maternity dress that belonged to the Duchess. Amelia's body wasn't this developed when they left their estate earlier today to visit the Duchess at the Duke's property.

Elizabeth knew that the Dark Elf was the one to bme for her daughter's sudden changes and needed to get Amelia as far away from her as possible. She may have lost her daughter-in-w and son to this dark elf but she wasn't going to lose her only daughter to the darkness. Elizabeth had to think of a pn to save her daughter from that evil monster.

But it didn't matter how hard she tried, she couldn't come up with a pn. She couldn't trust her husband, she couldn't trust her son, and she couldn't trust her friends that all seem to have fallen under Rya's spell. Elizabeth wanted to scream in frustration at the situation she was in.

Amelia, on the other hand, was in a state of euphoria. She never felt more comfortable in her life, even with how much skin she was showing to the world. It was like some type of invisible shackles were broken when Rya touched her shoulders when she was getting confronted by her cruel cousin.

She had been a good girl for most of her life and was always a good follower of Iyomelka's teachings. But she didn't feel like she was doing anything wrong. In fact, she felt like she was doing what was right.

She was finally starting to understand why Tayna was so rexed around Rya. And the more she thought about it, the more she realized that the Dark Elf wasn't evil at all. It made her wonder why she was afraid of Rya in the first pce. She just wished she could have gone to the after party but her mother grabbed her wrist and pulled her out of the ballroom first once Rya humiliated Prince Ethan Wisper. She didn't know what the big deal was with her mother pulling her away like that, but she was happy to be getting attention from the Ladies of the Court who were praising her new look.

However, the cold stares coming from her mother of all people made her wonder what was going on. She tried to make small talk with Elizabeth but her mother only give her one word answers.

'Goddesses!? What's wrong with mother? She should be happy that we got are lost jewelry back and Leandra's influence in the kingdom is diminishing. If I wasn't pulled away by my mother we could be celebrating with the others.' Amelia thought to herself.

Amelia sat proudly in her seat, which caused her newly formed bosoms to fight the hem of the dress. Her mother's eyes widened as her daughter's cleavage was even more visible to the passing common folk in the carriage.

'Why is my daughter acting so different from how I raised her!? Why is she behaving like this!? Did I not raise her better than this!? The dark elf must have turned her into a harlot to use her to get any st man in the kingdom on her side!' Elizabeth thought as she was gring at her daughter. She wasn't gring because she was upset with Amelia; she was angry at Rya.

Amelia was oblivious to her mother's turmoil and she was getting tired of the silent treatment from her. So, Amelia decided to start asking questions to her mother to see what was wrong. She just wanted to know why her mother was upset, and if there was anything she could do to help.

  "Mother?" Amelia asked.

"What?" Elizabeth said in a cold tone that sent shivers down Amelia's spine. She hadn't heard her mother sound this cold since the first night when Amelia snuck out of her room to spy on her crush, Ben.

Amelia returned a harsh gre back at her mother. "Mother, you have been giving me nothing but cold stares, and I have done nothing to deserve that treatment. I even found the family neckce that was stolen and you haven't acknowledged my efforts."

  "That's not the issue!"

"What is the issue then, mother? Please, tell me. I want to know!"

"The issue is your ck of awareness, Amelia! J-Just look at your body! The dark elf has done something to you. This is not normal. You should not be this developed from a matter of minutes. I know how fast a girl can develop because I was once your age and I didn't look like this. I had a ft chest and you have the figure of an adult." Elizabeth said with an accusing voice.

Amelia looked at her mother with an perplexed look. She was shocked that her mother would accuse her of being a harlot.

"Mother, I know that my body just... developed out of nowhere, and I know that it was due to Princess Rya's..." Amelia paused for a moment as she remembered what Tayna secretly told her about Johan and her being cursed by someone or something and it needed to be kept a secret until they figured out who did it to her and her brother. She knew that her mother could possibly be affected with the same curse, and she didn't know if she should tell her mother about it or not. All she knew was that she needed to keep it a secret from everyone until they found out who had cursed them. "I know that it was Princess Rya's magic that helped me grow into this," Amelia straightened her posture to show off her body. "But I'm still me, Mother. I am the same girl you raised, the same daughter that you loved. I am your little girl."

Elizabeth looked at Amelia with her piercing gaze and took a deep breath. She was calming down. "How do you know that you aren't under that dark—"

  "Princess Rya!"

Elizabeth stiffened and said, "That dark elf's magic. I have heard that they can influence people with magic, and that's why we are heading home to the Eder Valley. I can protect you there. And I will keep you locked up in our home until we can figure out a way to reverse this... this... growth spell and remove the dark elf from our Kingdom."

Amelia was horrified at the prospect of being locked up in her room for who knows how long.

"Mother!? I'm not under a curse! In fact, I've never felt better in my entire life!" Amelia yelled at her mother.

"Better!? Amelia, you look like a harlot, and it must be a pn to use you as a...consort or something, to get any st noble stragglers. She wishes to use you as an object! I don't want anyone to think you are anything else but a pure and noble dy. I raised you to be an elegant and refined dy and now you're a buxom, and curvy woman who's bosoms are trying to escape your clothing," Elizabeth said, her eyes still locked on Amelia.

Amelia was shocked at her mother's words. She couldn't believe her mother had said those things to her. Amelia's face turned red, and her body shook in anger.

"Mother, you are being unreasonable. I know that my body has changed, but I am still me. I'm not going to just let men use me for their own purposes. I'm a proud Lady of the Court, and I will not be treated like a common whore. I'm still the same person I have always been, even if I do look... a little bit different. And I am not going to let anyone use me. I'll prove it to you by finding someone that loves me for who I am, and not for my body."

"Pff! I don't know how we are going to find you a proper suitor looking like that!"

Elizabeth's voice was full of disdain for the fact that her daughter was now a buxom and curvy woman. Amelia on the other hand was pissed, she knew one man who's eyes always lingered on her before her transformation, that was the stable boy, Ben. But he was too polite to make the first move and Amelia never tried to pursue him because her mother said that she had to marry a proper noble. But now, things have changed, and if her body was going to be so much of a problem for her to have a Noble suitor then Amelia might as well have a man who she knows would love her for her and not her family name.

"Oh?... I see... You're worried about me getting married off. Well, I'll find someone who will love me for who I am, and not just because of my family name. Even if I have to go find the stable boy, Ben," Amelia said to her mother, not looking her in the eyes.

Amelia thought about Ben, and her heart began to race. She could feel her cheeks flush as she pictured his handsome face and strong arms from handling steeds and horses every day. His body was well built, and he had a kind smile that made her heart melt. She had seen him a few times before, but she never had the courage to talk to him. Now she would have that opportunity. Even though she would be considered a fallen woman to the Noble Houses, Amelia wanted to get back at her mother and prove that she was in charge of her life.

Elizabeth Dule looked at her daughter in horror at the thought of a noble Lady marrying a commoner, even if it was a stable boy. She couldn't fathom the thought of her daughter marrying someone who wasn't a noble, it would be a disgrace to the family and it would ruin the Dule family's reputation.

"Y-Young Lady! As long as you are single and are living under your father's roof, you will do as you're—"

Amelia turned to gre at her mother, but her let her Mana Vein release some mana by mistake and the whites of her eyes turned bck while her irises became purple.

Elizabeth froze in fear when she saw Amelia's eyes change. She felt a sense of danger and immediately shut her mouth, her face pale with fright. If only she knew that Amelia reflexively released mana without her knowledge because of her anger. However Elizabeth mistook her daughter's intensions and thought that Amelia was going to kill her.

'So the rumors about making deals with demons are true. To gain beauty and power, one must sell their souls to the demons of Faeo.' Elizabeth was convinced that Amelia had made a deal with the devil, and that was the only expnation for the sudden change in her appearance and the manifestation of magical abilities. Elizabeth was certain that Amelia had been corrupted and turned into a wicked witch. But she will save her daughter, she just needed to change her strategy, and buy some time to get a priestess to her home without Amelia finding out. Then her family will be cured and she'll get back the sweet girl that she raised.

Amelia saw her mother's terrified face and she was confused.

'What is going on with mother now?... I swear she's the sweetest person at one moment, then she was being a bitch, and then now she's terrified and in tears,' Amelia sighed and sat back in her seat and looked out the window. The mana in her eyes returned to their normal color. She was done talking to her mother right now. It was a good thing that she didn't reveal to her that she was cursed and Rya had cured her. And that Tayna was also cured, and that Tayna and Johan were in a loving retionship.

'Mother is being so unreasonable! I'm in my twenties! And if no nobleman wants me now, then when am I ever going to get married?!' Amelia looked at her mother, who was sitting across from her.

Elizabeth was trying to think of a pn to get Amelia to be cleansed of the darkness that Rya had cast on her. But the Church of the Bance had changed too and they referred to Iyomelka as the Lame Goddess and the two new Goddesses, Nils and Nebulus, looked elvish to her. Rya had taken over the church without the common folk noticing. So she needed to be subtle about it. Elizabeth needed to contact The Harmony Wardens. This order inside the church was meant to purify citizens who were being influenced or controlled by dark magic. They were supposed to be subtle and only act when the church commanded them to do so. But this order was still a part of the church and was probably under Rya's influence too. However, if she were to leave out that her daughter was cursed by Rya and that Amelia was enchanted by a demonic spell, then maybe she could convince the Harmony Wardens to help her.

Elizabeth was brought out of her thoughts when the carriage stopped in front of the Estate. It was a rge white building with a garden on either side of the road that leads to the entrance.

Elizabeth got out of the carriage and walked into her home, followed by Amelia, who was still upset at her mother.

Amelia was about to follow her mother inside when she saw the horses that pulled their carriage being unhooked and being taken to the stables. She noticed that the Ben came out of the stables and took the reins of the horses and led them back inside.
