Chapter 20: The Secret of Yuanzhu

  Original Martial Arts

"There are not only one type of pearl in this world, but six other types of pearls. They are: Fengyuan Pearl, Huoyuan Pearl, Tuyuan Pearl, Muyuan Pearl, Shuizhuan Pearl, and Jinyuan Pearl. Together with Leiyuan Pearl, there are seven kinds of Yuan Pearls, corresponding to the seven basic elements. Each pearl is composed of a single element, for example, Leiyuan Pearl is purely composed of thunder element. The function of Leiyuan Pearl is to absorb and release thunder element. After absorbing and releasing the thunder element through Leiyuan Pearl, its power becomes incredibly strong, surpassing the power of other thunder elements in nature. If you carry a pearl with you and use it with the corresponding element, the concentration and power of the element will be greatly enhanced." It is written in the Scripture of the Wordless Heaven.

"Oh, and there's such a wonderful thing, and several pearls too?" Du Fei exclaimed in surprise.

"If you are practicing a certain elemental martial skill, for example, practicing the Thunder Elemental martial skill, with the help of the Lei Yuan Pearl, it will be twice the result with half the effort. The same effect applies to other pearls." The Heavenly Book wrote again.

"It's no wonder that Uncle Huo said that Lei Yuanzhu can help people increase their elemental power. Indeed, it's not simple. If Uncle Huo knew about this point and made good use of it, then from now on, there would really be few people on the continent who could be his opponent. Haha...” Du Fei laughed with relish beside him.

"Little one, I advise you not to tell him yet. If you reveal the secret of Leiyuanzhu to him, and he asks how you knew, what will you say? Not to mention other things, if others find out that he has Leiyuanzhu, they won't hesitate to kill him for it. Your uncle Haung himself knows the special nature of this thing, and he absolutely won't let anyone know that he possesses such a treasure." The Heavenly Book says.

"Oh, and that thing, forget it, I won't mention it, anyway, I know it's enough. Hey, do you know where the other yuan pearls are? I want to go find them, I'm a five-yuan heavenly traveler after all! If I can find one or two pearls to wear on my body, then I'll be awesome!" Du Fei exclaimed excitedly.

"You think these elemental pearls are just stones, and you can have as many as you want? Let me tell you, there are only seven of these elemental pearls in this world, each element has only one, and each one is hidden in a mysterious place, scattered in the corners of the continent. Your uncle Haung was lucky to obtain one, it's truly a great blessing from heaven." The Heavenly Book reads.

"Wow, there's only one of each elemental pearl. Where did such a wonderful treasure come from?" Du Fei asked in amazement.

"The origin of the yuanzhu is unknown, and I'm not very clear about it either. Although the function of the yuanzhu is incredibly mysterious, these seven yuanzhu were all created by a super master." The Heavenly Book wrote.

"What, you're saying that the yuan pearl was actually man-made? My god, the person who can create this thing is still human or not? What level of cultivation has he reached?" Du Fei asked a series of questions to cover up his inner shock.

"This is just a legend, don't be so surprised. Legend has it that as long as these seven yuan pearls are collected together, they can open the treasure left behind by that super master. It's said that the treasure left behind by that super master is even more precious and mysterious than these yuan pearls, which are just the key to opening the treasure. Of course, all of this is just a legend, whether it's true or not, no one knows, after all, now no one has ever gathered these seven yuan pearls together, let alone know about that master's cultivation." The Heavenly Book wrote.

"My goodness... But the treasure key is so mysterious and powerful, I don't know what kind of great thing the treasure inside is." Du Fei looked at the words on the Heavenly Book in surprise for half a day before speaking.

"You little brat, indeed you haven't seen the world. This continent is full of wonders, and there are many more that you haven't experienced yet. From now on, don't be so ignorant again, or I'll feel embarrassed to be with you." The words on the Heavenly Book twisted in disdain towards Du Fei.

"You son of a bitch, dare to look down on me? I'll drown you with my piss." Du Fei said while making the motion of pulling down his pants.

"Haha, big brother, everything is negotiable. I was wrong, I misspoke." The words on the Heavenly Book changed rapidly.

"You don't know how formidable I am unless I teach you a lesson, with that little bit of backbone you have the nerve to call yourself someone with status, aren't you ashamed?" Du Fei said jokingly.

"Hehe, but seriously, don't go spreading the secret of this yuan pearl. Don't even mention whether the legend is true or not. I reckon there aren't many people who know about this rumor anyway. If others find out that a little kid like you knows this secret, it'll only bring unnecessary trouble for yourself." The Heavenly Book said.

"Well, you've also spoken a reasonable word. If I really have the chance to uncover this secret and get the treasure in the future, then we'll be rich." Du Fei rubbed his chin and said.

"It all depends on your luck then, maybe you really have that opportunity, anyway you're the kind of person who steps in dog poop as soon as you walk out the door." Tian Shu said.

"I think you're just a piece of crap, believe it or not, I'll kick you a few times. But I do want to know what kind of person your previous owner was, how did they know everything, that's not something an ordinary person can do." Du Fei asked.

"Heh heh, regarding all matters concerning the old master, I have nothing to report. When your time comes, you will know everything." The heavenly book said.

"Never mind, I won't mention these things to you again. Next time we meet something we don't understand, ask me then. Brother Hao has left, and I'm going to start cultivating now." Du Fei stood up on the ground, stretched his waist and said: "Let's go, it's been a long time since we last cooperated. Let's go out and find some Yuan beasts to play with."

"Now you and those primordial beasts are fighting, I think it's better not to lend you my power, that would affect your cultivation speed. Your cultivation speed over the past few months has been increasing without any decrease, so just continue with your current method. If you really can't do it, then take me out." The Heavenly Book wrote.

"I know, I don't plan on using you to deal with Yuan Beast now either." Du Fei also said disdainfully.

"Cut, who cares." The Wordless Heavenly Book stuck itself onto Du Fei's left hand once again...

Du Fei strolled leisurely around the Cifu Pavilion with the Wordless Heavenly Book, and now the primordial beasts around the Cifu Pavilion had been cleaned up by Du Fei. Some of the primordial beasts that Du Fei did not kill were no longer daring to come out and trouble him due to his prestige. Seeing that there was nothing challenging left in the area around the Cifu Pavilion, Du Fei decided to go further away to find some stronger primordial beasts.

"Oh dear, we've been searching for half a day and haven't found a single high-quality yuan beast. It's really sad." Du Fei was covered in bloodstains all over his body at this time, clearly the souvenir left behind from killing yuan beasts while darting through the forest earlier.

"Kid, don't be too arrogant. The primordial beasts in this place are extremely powerful. I'm afraid that when the time comes, you won't be able to defeat them and will lose face. Now, you're only in a place with relatively few primordial beasts. The Demonic Mountain Range is vast. What you know is just the tip of the iceberg."

"If you keep talking, I'll use Yuan Beast's butt to pinch you next time and let you taste what it feels like." Du Fei looked at the wordless heavenly book with a gloomy smile.

"...". The wordless heavenly book wrote.

"Heh heh, knowing is good. There's movement." Du Fei suddenly leaned towards the grass thicket beside him, carefully looking ahead and meticulously observing every movement around him.

Only about a hundred meters away from Du Fei, a huge creature emerged. The sound of its footsteps was also particularly loud, and even from a hundred meters away, Du Fei could feel the shock of the creature's feet pounding the ground.

"Wow, this thing's head is quite big, eh? Tell me, brother, what is that?" Du Fei said, staring at the enormous creature as it touched the Heavenly Book.

"The Holy Beast, a low-ranking Yuan beast, resembles an elephant but is at least three times larger than ordinary elephants. Its skin and flesh are thick and strong, with boundless power, but it moves slowly and has a gentle temperament. However, when enraged, it charges forward with astonishing force. You'd better not provoke it, as that guy is notorious for its good temper; look elsewhere." The Heavenly Book reads.

"Oh, forget it, you're a good temper so I'll let you off." As Du Fei stood up and turned to leave, he suddenly felt a black shadow flash in front of him. Du Fei quickly flipped backwards several times, crouched on the ground with his long sword at the ready, but saw nothing. He then bellowed: "Get out here, or else I'll make you look good later!" Du Fei's vigilance was extremely high, having formed a habit of intense focus in battle from prolonged fighting against the Yuan beasts. He wouldn't let off any Yuan beast that posed a threat to him, for every single one of them in this forest was bloodthirsty and carnivorous. If Du Fei hadn't been ruthless, he would have become their meal long ago.

Suddenly, a dark shadow attacked from behind again. Du Fei's keen senses detected the incoming shadow and he dodged it with a swift kick of his legs, jumping ten meters high to gaze down at the ground below. However, he still couldn't see the shadow that had just attacked him, only catching sight of the already distant Sheng Xiang Beast. As Du Fei landed back on the ground, he felt that this time's attacker was more formidable, and despite his efforts, he still hadn't seen what kind of beast it was. Du Fei's attention became completely focused.

Du Fei listened carefully to the wind and rustling sounds around him, trying to capture the location of the yuan beast. Du Fei only heard a rapid running sound coming from his left side, and with a swift motion, he swung his sword in a wide arc. The black shadow quickly changed direction and stopped about 10 meters away from Du Fei, revealing two long fangs and eyes that glared at him menacingly, letting out a low "hmm" sound.

"You little scoundrel, you've finally come out. I thought you were afraid of me and didn't dare to face me directly. You dared to sneak up on your grandfather, and today your grandfather will make you look good." Du Fei also looked straight at Yuan Shou without any fear, seeing that Yuan Shou's body was not large, entirely black, with a physique similar to a cheetah, but slightly different from a cheetah. The muscles all over Yuan Shou's body were clearly visible and well-developed, with two long fangs exposed in his mouth. The biggest difference between him and an ordinary cheetah was that there were two hard-looking horns on either side of his forehead.

"What kind of demon beast is this, its body isn't big, but it's so fast, and the muscles all over its body look so developed, what level is it?" Du Fei asked, staring at the demon beast intently.

A white light flashed across the sky, Du Fei slowly raised his left hand to the position of his head, and glanced at it with his remaining eyes: "Four-toothed Black Fierce Leopard, Low-level Yuan Beast."
