The college student shyly smiled and pulled out an intricate birthday card, and the gangster revealed a bag of chips and candies from his jacket. The card boasted precise color theories and the snacks were all legitimate results of working in a convenience store.

  “You guys!” The tiny boy nearly burst into tears as he jumped up to give his family a hug. “This is the best day ever…”
