Chapter Nineteen
Zhou Bofu saw that there were still two empty seats on the couch, and he also knew that this was the foundation for Hong Junmen to become a saint. He was overjoyed in his heart and was about to step forward and sit down. However, his heart moved, and the instinct from his soul stopped him in his tracks. He always felt that if he just sat down like this, it would seem to bring a lot of trouble.
Just as he was hesitating, a soft sound came from outside the door and a man dressed entirely in red walked in. He looked quite young, seemingly only in his thirties. The man swaggered in, bowing to those who had arrived earlier, then looked around and muttered "good fortune" before sitting down on an empty cushion.
Zhou Bofu couldn't help but smile when he saw the red-clothed guy being so reckless, and it seemed that the Three Pure Ones and Nüwa also felt the same way, all of them having a kind intention towards this big and careless guy.
At this time, another voice came from outside the door. Zhou Bofu looked up and saw that Kunpeng had arrived. The enormous Kunpeng transformed into a young man with a gloomy face and landed on the ground. After exchanging greetings with the two small children at the door, he walked in. As soon as he entered, Kunpeng bowed to the cloud bed and the people inside, then saw Zhou Bofu. A look of surprise flashed across Kunpeng's eyes, but this was not a place for idle chatter. Seeing an empty cushion, Kunpeng also went over and sat down.
Zhou Bofu saw that everyone had already taken their seats, but he was still troubled by the feeling of that instant. He had lost a great opportunity to become a saint, and yet his heart felt relieved and at ease, which made him even more troubled.
At this time, the people in the house were also a little puzzled. You are a beautiful and strange bird who came in first, but you didn't go to sit on the empty cushion. Instead, you went around in circles over there. Now it's fine, if there is no seat, just find an empty space to sit down.
Zhou Bofu was in a state of anxiety, when suddenly people started coming in from outside. A golden three-legged crow with flames all over its body also arrived and transformed into a shiny young man who came in. Later, a young Taoist priest with a long beard came in, looking very familiar with the red-clothed big road guy. Then, a man with the upper body of a human and the lower body of a snake "walked" in, but he greeted Nüwa and sat down at the back. Next, a young man who looked like a fellow Taoist came in, also wearing deep-red clothes. Finally, two more guys walked in. The first one had a gloomy face, as if he owed someone hundreds of thousands of dollars and was being chased by creditors. Zhou Bofu almost went up to him and said "Come, I'll give you five bucks." The other guy looked at Zhou Bofu with contempt, his face looking honest, but his eyes seemed shifty.
Here is the translation:
As expected, this guy came in and saw people sitting on the couch, immediately starting to wail and cry, claiming that he and his brother lived in the west and it was too far, they heard someone talking about rushing over but didn't expect to be a step late, couldn't get a seat, and were really dying of pain. He was about to kill himself to apologize to his brothers. The noise was like hundreds of ducks quacking.
Everyone in the room had a look of disdain, except for the three clear ones: Laozi, who was practicing his qigong and pretended not to hear; Yuanshi, who flashed a look of disdain but quickly hid it; and Tongtian, who had a face full of disdain. If it weren't for the two brothers' faces, he might have already kicked these two out.
Nüwa didn't have any expression, just whispering with her brother and occasionally glancing at Zhou Bosu, that strange bird. The red-clothed guy, whose name was now known to be Hongyun, had a sympathetic face, making one wonder about his IQ.
Kunpeng had an expression of schadenfreude, and listening to that annoying guy's crying was like music to his ears. At this moment, it was confirmed that the annoying guy's name was Zhunti. Zhou Bosu thought to himself, "That ugly face who owes people hundreds of millions is definitely a troublemaker."
That Zhun Ti was still crying, Zhou Bofu had already become impatient, his heart burning with anger, and he was about to take action regardless of the consequences. He took a step forward, when San Zu Wu pulled him back and said: "Fellow Taoist, don't be impulsive, look at those Blood River Sect people who haven't made a move yet."
At this time, the red cloud stood up and said to Ti: "Fellow Taoist, don't cry anymore. I'll give you this position."
Zhun Ti suddenly appeared, and with a swift movement, he pushed Jing Ying onto the couch. He first bowed deeply to Hong Yun and said, "Thank you, fellow Taoist, for letting me take a seat." Before Hong Yun could respond, Zhun Ti had already sat down on the last available couch, pushing Kun Peng aside with his buttocks. The people in the room were shocked by this shameless behavior, and those who had arrived later couldn't help but point and whisper to each other. Zhun Ti, indeed the most shameless person in the Primordial Chaos, seemed oblivious to it all. Kun Peng was taken aback for a moment before flying into a rage, disregarding everything as he prepared to strike back.
At this moment, a soft sound was heard, and everyone in the house felt a sense of clarity. An old man sat on the cloud bed, wearing a coarse linen robe, looking younger than that old man. Everyone in the house was a great master, but no one knew when the old man had sat down on the cloud bed, and instead felt that the old man seemed to have been sitting there from the beginning. With the appearance of the old man, everyone in the house felt calm, even the Kunpeng who was about to fight with Zhou Bofu also sat quietly on the ground. Zhou Bofu saw that the atmosphere in the house knew that the host had arrived.
As expected, the old man spoke up: "I am Hong Jun. After attaining the Tao, I will enlighten all living beings. Today, I shall expound on the Great Tao. All of you are destined to be here, so listen to my teachings."
Zhou Bofu also sat with an honest heart and quietly waited for Hong Jun to begin his lecture.
Hong Jun opened his mouth to speak of the three thousand great paths, and Zhou Bofu listened with a bewildered expression. Suddenly, he found himself in an endless expanse of chaos, which instantly split apart, with the clear rising up and the murky sinking down. The four symbols of earth, water, fire, and wind separated, and the five elements of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth changed in an instant into infinite variations.
Zhou Bofu suddenly had countless epiphanies in his heart, but he couldn't distinguish them one by one, nor could he express them in words. Various grand dao transformations emerged in a flurry, yet his mind was a jumbled mess. He knew that he had obtained countless grand dao paths and had numerous epiphanies in his chest, but as for what exactly he had gained, he couldn't know. It was all a chaotic blur, as if he were somewhere else, with his heart lost in a dream.
I don't know how much time has passed, no, time has lost its meaning...
Zhou Bofu was suddenly awakened, and Hong Jun on the cloud bed had already said: "The hundred-year period of lecturing has been fulfilled. We will lecture again after a thousand years. You can take your leave." He then fell silent, closed his eyes, and entered meditation.
Everyone in the house made a big bow and kept calling "Teacher", then they came out one by one.
