Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Or, at least, that it had an impact on you.
That hits way too close to home. I’m already finding myself in Meg’s position, and I really don’t like it. It’s hard to watch your kid do things like this, but you can’t shelter them either or they never learn and grow.
Parenting is hard.
In all honesty, I had not even considered how the story would play out from Meg’s point of view (quick note: I gleefully named Meg after the character from A Wrinkle in Time — just one of about two dozen geeky references I threw into this story, that no one has commented on *sob*). I’m glad that it rang true for you, but that’s a tough situation for you to be in.
