I haven’t got anything interesting to say at all, so here’s a LOLCat that I really like, because I like cats and I like giant monsters.

I just want to say that I think it’s very cool that if you do a Google search for "evil gnome video", the number one hit is currently my blog entry about it.
My work here is done.

We own three household robots (scroll down for a picture of our domestic service team), so seeing a newscast like this in the near future won’t be much of a surprise:
And the future begins at home. My wife blogged here about our own domestic staff. How long before they start bossing us around?

I mentioned Obama’s brilliant and moving speech earlier today. I’d like to mention it again, and provide you with the video right here.
My friend Keith says that this may be one of the most important and visionary speeches of the past twenty years. I agree. And I suggest again that Obama’s vision for America [...]

The Associated Press is reporting that Sir Arthur C. Clarke, author of 2001: A Space Odyssey, among many other seminal works, has passed away at the age of 90.
First Gary Gygax, and now Arthur C. Clarke. This is turning into a bad month for nerds.

Damn, that was one hell of a speech. I am SO hoping that Obama becomes the Democratic candidate for President. America needs vision again, and I really, honestly, believe that Obama has the vision that American needs.
There is a young, twenty-three year old white woman named Ashley Baia who organized for our campaign in Florence, [...]

One of the villains in The Solitude of the Tentacled Space Monster is a professor of antiquities who, as a hobby, has applied his knowledge of dark and arcane secrets to many different fields of human knowledge. Among the books he has written are these:
Agrinomicon. Summonings, dominations, and banishments meant to increase your tomato yield.
Technonomicon. [...]

This is the cover of the next issue of Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine. See, there’s my name right there, second on the list. How exciting is that?
That’s all. Get back to work.

I found a copy of that Evil Gnome video on YouTube. Here it is for your viewing pleasure:
I’m still trying to figure out what the thing is. I don’t buy into the notion that it’s a viral marketing gimmick; I think if it were it would be of better quality. I’m [...]

Although Daikaijuzine is still on hiatus, all of the old content is back online. Unfortunately, in the process of moving databases and code around, the old links and bookmarks have changed. If you had a story or article or poem bookmarked on Daikaijuzine, please double check to make sure it still works, and update it [...]

Back in 2002, for various reasons, my family and I decided to give my stepfather a lawn gnome for Christmas. The reasons for this are multitudinous and probably beyond the scope of this blog; let’s just say it was well earned. To prepare my stepfather for the lawn gnome’s arrival, I put together a series [...]

Once again, Charles Stross proves that for a Scot, he has a pretty good grasp of American politics, as he digs into his 1st Edition D&D Monster Manual to find the descriptions of the various critters we’re encountering this election season.

Via the newsfeed from Slice of Sci Fi, I found this bit of spiffy news:
Noah Wyle (”ER”) is set to return as Flynn Carsen in the third installment of TNT’s Librarian franchise, The Librarian: The Curse of the Judas Chalice, producer Electric Entertainment announced. Bob Newhart and Jane Curtin will also reprise their roles, with [...]

For reasons technological, personal, and logistical, Daikaijuzine is going on hiatus for the next few months. All current submissions will be returned to the authors, and we are closed for submissions from now until June 21, 2008. Release 4 of Daikaijuzine, code named King Ghidorah, will come bursting forth from its radioactive meteorite on September [...]

How on Earth am I supposed to tell someone that the cat peed on the copy of their novel manuscript I was critiquing?
Any of my writing buddies who might have an answer to this one, let me know.
